🚀 Noble Unveils AppLayer to Power the Next Generation of Stablecoin Innovation
Noble, a blockchain platform dedicated to real-world asset (RWA) and stablecoin issuance, has announced AppLayer — a new Ethereum-compatible rollup built on Celestia. AppLayer is designed to empower developers to build high-throughput, scalable financial applications that rely on stablecoins and robust RWA infrastructure.
Set to launch in Q3 2025, AppLayer will provide an efficient and modular foundation for developers seeking to build modern crypto-financial tools.
🔧 AppLayer: Developer-First Infrastructure for Stablecoin Ecosystems
AppLayer offers:
- Ethereum compatibility via EVM support
- Seamless integration with Cosmos-based networks through IBC
- Cost-effective scalability with Celestia’s modular data availability layer
This architecture enables developers to deploy RWA apps with stablecoin support — backed by the flexibility and speed of rollups — without the burden of high gas or storage costs.
🌐 Built for Interoperability Across Ecosystems
AppLayer bridges Ethereum’s developer-rich ecosystem with Cosmos’ native asset infrastructure. This cross-chain compatibility unlocks new opportunities for DeFi innovation and stablecoin liquidity, with Noble confirming integrations with several major Ethereum-based DeFi protocols.
“Noble plans to unlock its cross-ecosystem potential as EVM applications continue to seek reliable and seamless access to native stablecoin liquidity,” the team stated.
Why Stablecoins — and Why Now?
The announcement comes at a pivotal moment. With the U.S. Congress preparing stablecoin legislation, and entities like Fidelity, Wyoming, and even Trump’s World-Liberty Financial exploring stablecoin initiatives, momentum is building around fiat-backed digital currencies.
Noble’s role is increasingly important. Launched in March 2023, Noble was created as an appchain to issue stablecoins within the Cosmos ecosystem. Using the IBC protocol, it facilitated native asset issuance and quick transfers across chains.
In March 2025, Noble introduced USDN, a yield-bearing stablecoin backed by U.S. Treasury bills, signaling its broader ambitions in crypto finance.
💬 A Vision for the Future
“Building stablecoin issuance infrastructure over the past two years has given us a deep appreciation for the transformative potential of stablecoins,” said Jelena Djuric, co-founder and CEO of Noble. “AppLayer, powered by Celestia, finally gives builders the freedom to create high-performance stablecoin-native applications.”
With AppLayer, Noble aims to position itself as the go-to platform for stablecoin innovation, connecting blockchains, reducing friction, and enabling the next evolution of digital finance.
